The RodJack was developed by fisherman who were tired of the time consuming ritual of wrestling with their gear when getting on and off the boat and seeing expensive rod and reels damaged in the process. We fish center console boats and usually take 10-12 rods with us each trip. Using both hands, that means making 5 or 6 trips from the garage to the truck, then the truck to the boat and back again.
A little annoyed and running late one morning while waiting for a buddy to load his gear into the truck, one of the guys put a couple of poles in a golf bag and said “dude, you’re slower than golf.”The idea was born: Why not take the whole rod rack instead of moving the rods from holder to holder. RodJack FAQ’s
Yes. The wheel base is 12″ on the Original model and 15″ on the Heavy Duty Model. Your reels remain between the wheels and create a very low center of gravity. It would take considerable and intentional force to tip it over.
Yes. The Heavy Duty model is intended for heavier tackle. The rod holders are spaced 6.5″ on center. If your reels are wider than that, we recommend using every other rod holder to create some space in between the reels, but the RodJack is very sturdy and can accommodate over 200 pounds of gear.
Yes. RodJack comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If there is any problem with your RodJack, we will repair or replace it.
